Will CJI be yet another Vinod Rai to oust NDA from power?

Vinod Rai, a former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), had played a key role in defeating UPA government in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections by tabling CAG report involving UPA government’s ministers in corruption and giving all grist to the mill of opposition parties to derive political mileage. His report paved the way for the NDA to come to power.
Now, Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, is becoming yet another Vinod Rai for the NDA government. Chief Justice’s statement terming a section of youth as ‘cockroaches’ put the Narendra Modi government in trouble and prompting youth to form a Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
The Supreme Court, which declined to initiate suo motu proceedings to take cognizance of crackdown on the students protestors at Jantar Mantar, may incite the youths to intensify the agitation.
Whenever, the Government fails to deal with problems, people approach courts to intervene into the matters. If Court fails, it will add fuel to the fire of uprising.
