Cold war between ex-CM and CM now on battlefield
The hidden grudge between Madhya Pradesh former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav manifested itself in public after the shanties of tribals were razed by the administration at the constituency of Chouhan.
A flush of anger of the former Chief Minister burst out soon after he heard the demolition of houses in his constituency prompting him to stage a ‘dharna’ in order to register vociferous protest.
Notably, Chouhan who served as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 2005 to 2018 and 2020 to 2023 and was not installed as Chief Minister despite the victory under his leadership in 2023 Assembly elections.
Instead of announcing his name again for Chief Minister, the name of Dr Mohan Yadav was declared for the same.
Later on, the former Chief Minister was roped in to contest for the Lok Sabha election, from Vidisha constituency in Madhya Pradesh and he won by over eight lakh votes. He enjoys a larger than life image in politics.
