Indian education system mired in communal politics
Strange things are happening in India! Communal based politics has affected India to such an extent that different yardsticks for people of different religions are being applied. In a recent development, the Government of India has revoked the recognition of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence, Jammu after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) submitted a memorandum to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and right-wing groups raised protest as 42 Muslim students out of 50 students ensured admission cracking National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The BJP stressed that the college is run by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and there should be only Hindu students in the college. In yet another incident, in Betul district of central state Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim man built a school in his village for nursery to class eight irrespective of any caste-creed and religion students. But the Government of Madhya Pradesh demolished the school which was built by him at the cost of Rs 20 lakh. The decisions of the Central Government and State Government both being ruled by right wing BJP are dismantling the secular fabric of the society and leading the country astray.
