Sex discriminations at ICAI events: No female panelist invited on dais
As a part of India AI Impact Summit 2026 being organized by the Government of India in New Delhi, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) held a panel discussion on " Artificial Intelligence and India's Economic Growth: Sectoral Impact and the Road Ahead".

The ICAI keeps on holding events from time to time, but one can seldom find out even a single woman sharing dais on any ICAI event occupied by preponderantly male.

The ICAI held a panel discussion on the above topic, but women panelists were conspicuous by their absence. All the ICAI programs are dominated by male functionaries.

Every year, many programs are held to mark ‘International Women’s Day’ on March 8 in order to raise awareness and weave women into the mainstream of the society, but the ground reality is quite different. Women are still fighting for their equal civil rights without sex discrimination in the country. Only stereotypical works are being covered by females.

Women are still looked down upon by a patriarchal society in the digital age.
