On the occasion of MECL’s 55th Foundation Day, Indra Dev Narayan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), MECL, addressed the employees, reflecting on the organisation’s remarkable journey in mineral exploration and its vital contribution to India’s mineral security.

Emphasising the importance of human resources, he acknowledged that project employees working in challenging field conditions are the true pillars and foundation of MECL. Their dedication, perseverance and commitment to exploring the nation’s mineral resources form the backbone of the organisation’s achievements. MECL expresses its deep gratitude to these employees for their invaluable service to the nation. He also highlighted the various employee welfare initiatives undertaken by the organisation.

With nearly two-thirds of its project portfolio focused on critical minerals, MECL continues to play a significant role in strengthening India’s domestic mineral resource base and advancing the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

CMD further emphasised the need to embrace emerging technologies, strengthen Research & Development, promote process improvements and foster a culture of innovation to meet evolving exploration challenges. He encouraged all MECLians to work collaboratively, celebrate achievements and remain committed to excellence.

As MECL completes 54 years of dedicated service, it reaffirms its commitment to its people, technological advancement and the nation’s mineral security.

The programme concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem, filling the occasion with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride in serving the nation.
