The Yamuna Expressway Authority organized a program at its office to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh first garlanded the portraits of both great men. Other officials, including the Additional Chief Executive Officer, Special Officer, General Manager, and others, then garlanded them in turn. During the program, Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh highlighted Mahatma Gandhi's principles, such as Swaraj, Swadeshi, cleanliness, Sarvodaya, and trusteeship. Mahatma Gandhi launched the Swadeshi movement to promote the use of indigenously produced clothing and goods. Inspired by this movement, the people of the country burned foreign clothing and pledged to adopt Swadeshi. The core of Mahatma Gandhi's Sarvodaya philosophy was the upliftment of all sections of society, that is, their standard of living should rise and improve, and equality should be promoted among them. The Chief Executive Officer also paid tribute to India's second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, calling him a great source of inspiration who gave the nation the mantra of "Jai Jawab Jai Kisan" and, by rescuing India from its food crisis, promoted life-saving participation. On this occasion, other officials of the Authority, such as Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Bhatia and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Special Officer Shailendra Kumar Singh, Hari Pratap, Aarti Singh, Manoj Kumar, etc., also shared inspiring memories from the lives of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
On this occasion, along with the above officials, Rajendra Bhati, GM Project, Nandkishore Sundariyal, Vikas Kumar, Satendra Giri, and other officers and employees were present.
