Ms Kavita Rakesh Satvi takes over as Director (Fin), Konkan Railway Corporation
Ms Kavita Rakesh Satvi, General Manager and CFO, Kamarajar Port Limited, has taken over the charge as Director (Finance), Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.
Ms Kavita Rakesh Satvi, who cleared CA Final in first attempt in November 2001, has 23 years of rich and extensive experience in finance.
She started her career as Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts, with Container Corporation of India Ltd., Mumbai –RO from August 2002 to March 2008. Then she served as Dy. Chief Financial Officer with Gateway Terminals India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai CONCOR) from March 2012 to November 2018. Served as Manager – F&A, (Port of Singapore Group) with Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal Pvt. Ltd., JNPT from December 2017 to November 2018. Besides, with Gateway Terminals India Pvt. Ltd, APM Terminals-AGM-Finance from November 2018 to June 2022 and from June 2022 to July 2023 with J.M. Baxi Ports & Logistics Limited- Vice President- Finance.
Extensive experience in setting up F & A processes, internal controls, COSO framework, automation, driving process excellence through LEAN, Kaizen, BI Reports, financial planning & analysis; internal and regulatory reporting; treasury management; accounting operations; budgeting; forecasting that led to improvements in cost savings, profitability & productivity, finance migration to shared services, managing shared service finance operations. She set standard processes and accounting system for new organization. Ms Satvi developed a range of financial and management reports for variance analysis & improvement strategies; preparing monthly / annual budget & MIS reports to facilitate decision-making by top management.
She drafted and reviewed business plans and financial models; steered various finance & control operations including business planning, stakeholder engagements, KPI management, analytical reviews and management accounting.
Ms Kavita established a working relationship with bankers (Consortium lead Banks - Public & Private) and negotiated for fund raising; implemented significant improvements in accuracy & timeliness of fund management including feasibility study, economic & industry comparisons, strategic & annual cash flow planning. She has extensive working knowledge of GAAP, IND AS, IFRS& statutory compliances. Set-up Specialist: track record of successfully implementing more integrated processes (GST, Ind. AS & process improvement projects) to improve financial performance, controls and ensure the delivery of financial requirements. Expertise in mapping requirements for global service delivery projects; effective in developing, implementing, migrating and transitioning process solutions in line with specified guidelines and expertise in preparation of project analysis and reports.
