Inordinate delay in the appointments of Director (Finance) and Director (Production & Projects) indicates that something exists in the embryo of Government regarding the future of KIOCL Limited. A vacancy of Director, (Production & Projects) was advertised on August 27, 2024, but no one was selected nor appointed since then. The post has been lying vacant since June 1, 2024. Similarly, Ms Gali Anupama, GM, NMDC Limited was selected for the post of Director (Finance), KIOCL Limited on April 9, 2024, but did not continue.  According to sources, the Government is trying to sell the company. Therefore, the Government has withheld the appointments of two Directors. It’s been around two years of the vacancies of these two Directors and the Government has not taken a decision in this respect so far. CMD, G V Kiran is looking after additional charges of Director, (Production & Projects) and Director (Finance).
