A high-level meeting chaired by Jaiveer Singh, Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, reviewed key initiatives to expand tourism’s economic contribution across the state. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Chief Minister Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Amrit Abhijat, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture & Religious Affairs, Ashish Kumar, Managing Director, UPSTDC, and other senior officials were also present.

Discussions focused on tourism-linked business activity, hospitality expansion, Deepotsav 2026 preparations, the Baba Neeb Karori Circuit, Kalinjar Fort promotion and improving visitor experiences across key destinations.

The review also explored opportunities to enhance visitor facilities in Ayodhya and create experiences that bring together pilgrimage, heritage and nature.
