NEW ENGINEERING
WORKS is yet another FAKE PROJECT firm connected with an existing Distributor/Dealer
of SAIL. It is promoted by the promoters of JAISWAL IRON STORES, a SAIL
Distributor/Dealer for TMT Bars for Kanpur/Prayagraj region.
NEW ENGINEERING
WORKS was brought in as FAKE PROJECT in Sep 2020 for selling Plates whenV Suresh
was the Regional Manager of Northern Region (RM/NR). Till Suresh was RM/NR,
over 600 Tonne of Plates were sold to the firm.
With the coming of Abhijeet Kumar as RM/NR, supplies of TMT Bars began at negotiated price from the PRAYAGRAJ Branch of SAIL-CMO. Over 3,000 Tonne of TMT Bars were sold to this FAKE PROJECT in July, Aug & Sep 2021. It has been gathered that M K Agarwal and Sanchit Soni were the Regional Business Managers for Long and Flat products respectively at Northern Region during the supply period. It has been gathered that Abhijeet and Jaiswals knew each other from Kanpur days of Abhijeet, where he was the Branch Manager in the past.
NEW ENGINEERING WORKS, a proprietorship firm is
registered with GST 09ABYPJ3358H1Z1 with Principal Place of Business as
“NH29, BHITI, Mau, Uttar Pradesh, 275101”with
nature of Core Business Activityas “Trader
- Wholesaler/Distributor”. Legal Name of Business for NEW ENGINEERING WORKS is “LAL BAHADUR JAISWAL” through
which it is deduced that “SHRI LAL BAHADUR JAISWAL” is proprietor of NEW ENGINEERING WORKS.
Suresh,
Abhijeet, and Agarwal were suspended after the LOKPAL’s order dated Jan 10,
2024. Sanchit avoided suspension by resigning from SAIL.
Though
after suspension revocation, the officers were not to be joined back at the
positions held while approving/forwarding/initiating the proposal(s) in
question, Abhijeet still was joined back as RM/NR. Sources claim that since business
with both the firms viz. Venkatesh Infra Projects P Ltd and Avon Steel
Industries P Ltd were transacted by the Northern Region of SAIL-CMO, Abhijeet
was brought back as RM there to set some office records pertaining to the two
firms before possible CBI raids.
Not only Abhijeet Kumar was joined back as RM/NR, he was also promoted to ED(Marketing) after some time.
