Over 35,000 Tonne of TMT Bars have been sold to six firms by the officials of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at heavy discounts using the policy and guidelines applicable for Projects although the firms were not doing any construction or projects work. The firms later on re-sold the material in the market at higher rates in order to earn extra profits.

As all the above six firms are now under LOKPAL/CBI investigation, ‘Bureaugram.com’ thought that it must also to do an independent investigation in the whereabouts of the above firms.

According to data available here, the SAIL officials sold over 35,000 Tonne of TMT Bars to above 6 firms at heavy discounts using the policy and guidelines applicable for Projects although the firms were not doing any construction or projects work.

From the above table it can be very easily gathered all the six firms to whom SAIL officials collectively sold over 35000 Tonne of TMT Bars at heavy discounts using the policy and guidelines applicable for Projects are directly or indirectly connected to M/s R.K.Steel Company.

Among the 06 firms  “SNG Constructions & Interiors” is the flagship firm to whom SAIL officials sold about 21,000 Tonne of TMT Bars at heavy discounts using the policy and guidelines applicable for Projects although the firm was not doing any construction or projects work. It is a Proprietorship firm with its  Proprietor as “Rakesh Aggarwal” and Principal Place of Business as 1st Floor, E-75, SECTOR 55, NOIDA, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, 201301. The firm took GSTIN - 09AWUPA8341G1Z8 on November 10, 2021 and SAIL officials started selling TMT Bars to the firm from February 2022 in the name of Projects. The firm got its GSTIN cancelled on August 20, 2025.

As per sources, the price approvals for the above sales were given by a SAIL official named Munish Ahuja who has recently been rewarded by SAIL management with the post of head of sales. After the LOKPAL order dated January 10.2024, he was also among the 29 officers who were suspended on January 19, 2024 in the matters related to supply of steel to M/s Venkatesh Infra Projects P Ltd and M/s Avon Steel Industries P Ltd. 

The modus-operandi adopted with all the above-mentioned firms is the same as was adopted by SAIL in the supply of 1,50,000 Tonnes of steel to M/s Venkatesh Infra Projects P Ltd. On the directions of Lokpal of India, CBI has already registered  F.I.R. No. RC2182024A0021 on 10.10.2024 u/s 120B, 420, 468, 471 IPC and Sections 7, 9 and 12 of the P.C. Act, 1988 as amended has also been lodged by the CBI, AC-III, New Delhi against the erring senior officials of SAIL, M/s Venkatesh Infra Projects P Ltd and M/s APCO Infratech P Ltd.
