Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority (PPA), visited the JPPL berth at the Western Dock to review infrastructure development, operational readiness and progress of the deep-draft terminal. Key highlights of the review: Successful berthing of deep-draft Capesize vessels; Phase-I capacity of 12.5 MMTPA; Focus on 100% berth mechanization; Improved rail and road cargo evacuation;  Commitment to safe, efficient and sustainable port operations. The Western Dock project, with an overall planned capacity of 25 MMTPA, will further strengthen Paradip Port’s cargo handling capabilities and reinforce its position as a major maritime gateway on India’s eastern coast.
