ONGC Chairman to reap yet another extension through USA tour?
One may believe or not but it’s true that whenever Arun Kumar Singh made foreign tours with the officials of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, he has either been appointed as Chairman or granted extension.
No sooner did the news of Arun Kumar Singh, visiting USA alongwith the officials of the Ministry percolate than rumours started circulating that he would certainly get yet another extension as Chairman, ONGC.
Whenever he makes foreign tours with the officials at the ending of his tenure, he is awarded an extension.
This USA visit may grant him yet another extension till May 2029.
Notably, Arun Kumar Singh was installed as new Chairman, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in December 2022 for a period of three years after retiring from the post of CMD, BPCL soon after a foreign trip.
His three-year tenure as Chairman, ONGC was coming to an end in December 2025. Yet, he was given another extension for a period of one year till December 6, 2026 soon after a foreign trip.
