An inspection regarding Official Language-related activities and progress was conducted at the MECL Headquarters by Pramod S. Sangole, Assistant Director (Implementation) of the Regional Implementation Office (West), Navi Mumbai—an office functioning under the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Upon his arrival at the Corporation, Pramod S. Sangole, Assistant Director (Implementation), was accorded a traditional welcome and was apprised of the implementation of Hindi as the Official Language within the Corporation, as well as the various efforts and activities being undertaken in this regard.

During the inspection, records pertaining to the Official Languages Act, 1963, and the Official Languages Rules; quarterly progress reports; minutes of quarterly meetings; office orders; the Hindi proficiency roster; and various Hindi-language materials published by the Corporation were reviewed.

Subsequently, Pramod S. Sangole paid a courtesy visit to our Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Indra Dev Narayan. On this occasion, he commended the efforts being made towards the effective implementation of Hindi as the Official Language within the Corporation, as well as the progress achieved by the Corporation in this direction.
