MoS for Petroleum Suresh Gopi reviews
Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Tourism, Suresh Gopi, reviewed the progress and pending issues related to major energy infrastructure projects in Tamil Nadu at a meeting held in Coimbatore. Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), BPCL, was present during the review and discussed the project with the Minister and other senior officials and key stakeholders.

The review covered the BPCL Irugur–Devanagonthi Multi Product Pipeline project, the Kochi–Koottanad–Bangalore–Mangalore Natural Gas Pipeline project of GAIL, and BPCL’s CGD project for Erode and Nilgiris districts.

The BPCL Irugur–Devanagonthi Multi Product Pipeline project is a key infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening fuel transportation efficiency and ensuring a reliable energy supply across the region. The project is expected to enhance logistics efficiency while supporting the growing energy needs of Tamil Nadu.

Senior officials from the Government of Tamil Nadu, district administration, NHAI, State Highways, GAIL, BPCL and other stakeholders participated in discussions focused on project progress, land-related matters, statutory clearances and measures for expeditious completion.

The MoS emphasised close coordination and timely resolution of bottlenecks, with all stakeholders reaffirming their commitment towards the completion of these strategically important projects in the public and national interest.
