In a major step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration, GRSE signed an MoU with IIT Kharagpur to drive research and innovation in key maritime domains.

The MoU was signed by Capt (IN) P Sunilkumar (Retd.), Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) and Professor Surjya Kanta Pal, Dean (Research & Development ),IIT-KGP in the presence of Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), CMD, GRSE, Cdr Shantanu Bose, IN (Retd.), Director (Shipbuilding), GRSE, Niranjan Bhalerao, Director (Finance), GRSE along with other officials from GRSE and professors from IIT-KGP.

The collaboration will focus on advancing capabilities in shipbuilding infrastructure, marine asset upgradation, coastal engineering, inland waterways and marine structural technologies, paving the way for future-ready maritime solutions.
