At the 27th GLMS & SW 2025-26 and 15th Gujarat Metalliferous Mines Safety, Swachhata and Silicosis Awareness Week, GMDC’s Surkha Lignite Mine, Bhavnagar stood out with the Best Exhibition Stall showcasing digital capability, featuring real-time mine data, VR-based training, and live air quality monitoring systems. Across the exhibition, GMDC also showcased initiatives at Mata No Madh Lignite Mine, Umarsar Lignite Mine, Tadkeshwar Lignite Mine and Gadhsisa Group of Bauxite Mines , focused on smart safety systems for heavy vehicles, QR-based learning, UAV surveillance with thermal analytics, renewable energy and solar applications, ecological restoration, water conservation, CSR initiatives, first aid and fire safety training. Together, the displays reflected our continued focus on technology, sustainability, and safer mining practices.
