A meeting was held between Syed Abdul Rehman, ED (Coal), Ministry of Railways, Railway Board and Dr Hemant Sharad Pande CMD WCL at WCLHQ Nagpur.

At the outset CMD WCL and other Directors of WCL felicitated ED (Coal) and Shashi Bhushan CFTM Central Railway Mumbai. Other seniors officials from Central Railway Sr. DOM, Sr. DCM from Central Railways and WCL D(F) Bikram Ghosh, DT(O) Sandeep Paranjpe, DT(P&P) Anjani Kumar were also present at the meeting. The main focus of the meeting was to increase despatches to Power sector and to review the progress of several important projects including sidings and silos at Mungoli, Yekona, Sasti. Both Railways and WCL collaborated on action plan to increase rake loading to meet high demand of power stations having critocal stocks.

 Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande thanked Central railways for their steady support in helping WCL to despatch coal efficiently. In response ED (Coal) assured all necessary assistance to meet the loading targets and ensure timely completion of infrastructure projects.

After the successful conclusion of the meeting, the higher officials proceeded to the WCL coal mines and sidings of Ballarpur, Chandrapur, Wani, Wani North and Majri for 2 days inspection and to improve the rake loading infrastructure.
