DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh discusses wage issues with labour federations
Indian Ports Association (IPA), New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman DPA & Chairman IPA, convened meeting today with the representatives of all six labour federations to discuss the issues arising out of the wage settlement dated 24-09-2024, wherein Vikas Narwal, IAS, MD, IPA, and senior officials of IPA were also present.

The focus of the deliberations was on key labour and welfare matters concerning the port workforce and it was assured that necessary action will be taken for re-constitution of Committee comprising representatives of labour federations for framing a new PLR Scheme for FY 2026-27. It was also assured that the process of wage settlement which is due with effect from January 1, 2027 will be initiated. Other issue were also taken up for discussion.

The representatives of the labour federations on their part assured full cooperation to the Port Management. IIM Mumbai remains committed to contributing to national capacity building through executive education, applied research, and programmes that strengthen governance, public systems, infrastructure management, and data-driven decision-making.
