The Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA) had the pleasure of hosting Capt. Arvind Shankar and the Maersk delegation for a productive and forward-looking discussion on opportunities to further strengthen India's maritime sector through enhanced industry-regulator collaboration.

The discussions focused on key themes including Safety Performance, Crew Care & Welfare, Crew Competence Development, Regulatory and Documentary Process Improvements, SME Knowledge Exchange, and Maersk's flagship Equal at Sea programme aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion within the maritime workforce.

DGMA looks forward to working closely with Maersk and other industry stakeholders to foster safer operations, strengthen seafarer welfare, enhance skill development, and build a more inclusive, future-ready maritime ecosystem for India.
