Dr Satish Jha, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), met Ms Vandana Yadav, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Commerce and Enterprises, Government of West Bengal and discussed issues related to sand supply and transportation for ECL’s mining operations.

Discussions focused on allocation of new river ghats, year-round sand stacking and development of dedicated sand stockyards near mine sites, besides other operational matters.

The Principal Secretary assured ECL of early necessary action and support towards facilitating resolution of the issues.
