A major mobility leap is taking shape in eastern Mumbai. With the soon-to-be launched Chembur Metro Station emerging as a key interchange and the Mumbai Monorail preparing for its relaunch, MMRDA is steadily moving closer to its vision of a seamlessly connected urban transport network.

Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, today conducted a site visit of the Chembur Metro station along with Kanhuraj Bagate, MD, MMMOCL. He also walked over to the nearby VN Purav Monorail station and assessed the system preparedness and ease of interconnectivity.

Once operationalised, for lakhs of Mumbaikars across the eastern suburbs, this means quicker access, smoother interchanges and seamless travel all the way up to South-Central Mumbai.
