CBI apprehends Executive Engineer, DUSIB in bribery case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended Executive Engineer of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), Seemapuri, New Delhi, in a bribery case.
The CBI registered the instant case on September 19, 2026 against the said accused based on a complaint. It was alleged that the accused Executive Engineer, DUSIB demanded a bribe of Rs. 2,50,000 from the complainant for allotment of ground for Ramleela at Nand Nagri, Wazirabad, Delhi and agreed to accept the same in two installments.
The CBI laid a trap on September 19, 2026 and caught the accused Executive Engineer, DUSIB, red-handed while demanding and accepting the first instalment of Rs. 1 Lakh from the complainant for allotting Ground for Ramleela, to the Complainant. During the house search of the accused Executive Engineer, cash amount of Rs. 41 Lakh was seized. Further investigation is underway.
