WorldEnvironmentDay2026 was observed at the Central Silk Board Bengaluru. Addressing the gathering, P Sivakumar, IFS, Member Secretary, emphasized that nature protects us only when we protect nature. He urged employees to reduce plastic usage, conserve water & electricity, minimize fuel consumption, and promote the use of recycled & eco-friendly products. He administered the Environment Day pledge in English, while, CA Harshada led the pledge in Hindi. The programme concluded with a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, with active participation from the Joint Secretary (Tech), Joint Directors (Admin), Director, CSB-CSTRI, and other officers & staff members.
