Two old-boys at 78 and 81 proving their mettle in PMO
Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra better known as P K Mishra, a close confidant and Principal Secretary to Prime Minister is turning 78 on August 11, 2026. A 1972 batch retired IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, Mishra has been serving as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister since September 2019.
To the contrary, Ajit Doval, who serves as National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, is 81-year-old and has been serving since May 2014. Doval, a 1968 batch retired IPS officer of Kerala cadre is the oldest officer in the Prime Minister office (PMO). At the ripe old age, these officers are proving their mettle.
