Minister for Tourism, Tamil Nadu, S. Rajesh Kumar, inspected the proposed site for the development of additional accommodation facilities at TTDC Beach Resort, Mamallapuram.

As part of Tamil Nadu Tourism’s efforts to strengthen tourism infrastructure and cater to the growing number of visitors, a proposal worth ₹20 crore has been planned to enhance accommodation capacity at the resort. During the inspection, Minister reviewed the proposed development works and emphasized the importance of creating quality tourism infrastructure that elevates visitor experiences while complementing the heritage significance of Mamallapuram.

The inspection was conducted in the presence of Dr M S Shanmugam, IAS, Principal Secretary/Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) & Commissioner of Tourism; Dr M Veerapan, IAS, District Collector, Chengalpattu; Tmt. Lakshmi Priya, General Manager, TTDC; and other senior officials.
