RINL likely to stop hiring CISF services!
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Navaratna PSE, under the Ministry of Steel, is stopping hiring security services of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
The RINL, reeling under financial crisis, is costing to hire CISF services and planning to save a hefty amount of Rs 100 crore being spent annually on the security of the plant apart from other facilities to the CISF personnel such as quarters and medical.
The RINL, fondly called Vizag steel, is expected to hire private security for the security of the plant and other establishments instead of CISF.
This move will help the company overcome the financial crunch. But a moot question arises whether private security will keep watch the company à la CISF.
The RINL is the first shore based Integrated Steel Plant in the country and is known for its quality products delighting the customers. It is a market leader in long products and it caters to the needs of diverse Industrial sectors, according to sources.
