The post of Manish Raj Gupta as Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials), Steel Authority of India (SAIL), has been re-designated as Director (Mining), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Gupta, who was appointed Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials), SAIL on January 14, 2026, is also holding an additional charge of RINL.  A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from MANIT Bhopal and holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Gupta began his career with SAIL in 1991 as a Management Trainee (Technical) at Durgapur Steel Plant. This marked the start of a distinguished journey where he has worked across various plants and units, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence.
