Odisha Governor Presents CSR Lifetime Achievement Award to CMD, IREDA
Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) today received the CSR Lifetime Achievement Award at BridgeBharat 2026. The event was organised by the Odisha Corporate Foundation in collaboration with the Public Enterprise Department, Government of Odisha.
The Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, presented the award to Dr. Mohanty at the ceremony held in Bhubaneswar.
The award honours Dr. Mohanty's more than 27-year contribution to CSR and inclusive development, including his role in implementing DDUGJY and SAUBHAGYA schemes to extend essential services to underserved regions, including the North-East. His focus has spanned education and skill development, healthcare and rehabilitation, safe drinking water, accessibility and support for vulnerable communities.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Mohanty said, “I am grateful to Hon’ble Governor for this honour. It reaffirms my belief that clean energy and inclusive development must go hand in hand and I dedicate this recognition to that shared vision.”
Dr. Mohanty expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy; Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy; Secretary, MNRE; and the Board of Directors for their sustained guidance and support.
