The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) has been upgraded from Schedule 'B' to Schedule 'A' CPSE. Dr Subhransu Sekhar Acharya is presently Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of NSIC. The NSIC is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). NSIC has been working to promote, aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country. The NSIC operates through a countrywide network of offices and Technical Centres in the Country. In addition, NSIC has set up a Training cum Incubation Centre managed by professional manpower. NSIC has been established to carry out the objectives specified in the Memorandum and Article of Association. The main activities of NSIC are to promote and support the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector by providing integrated support services encompassing Marketing, Technology, Finance and other services”.
