NMDC ED Prabhakar to fill vacancy of CMD, RINL
M N V S Prabhakar, Executive Director, NMDC Steel Limited, has been selected for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). The Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) set up by the Ministry of Steel recommended his name after interviewing five candidates on March 14, 2026.
It is noteworthy that five SAIL officers including a Director In-charge Bokaro Steel Plant, Priya Ranjan were shortlisted for the interviews, but Director Priya Ranjan did not appear for the interview. The Selection Committee did not find SAIL officers: S Subbaraj, Bipin Kumar Giri, Munna Prasad Singh and Rakesh Kumar suitable for the post of CMD, RINL.
The post has been lying vacant since January 14, 2026 and Manish Raj Gupta, Director (Mining), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), is looking after an additional charge of CMD, RINL.
