NMDC decides zero operational emissions by 2047
NMDC Limited under the leadership of Amitava Mukherjee has decided to achieve Net Zero operational emissions by 2047 in three phases covering FY 2026 to FY 2030, medium-term FY2030 to FY2040 and the long-term will run from FY 2040 to FY 2047.
This covers Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions arising from direct fuel consumption and electricity use.
The company aims for a minimum 90% reduction in operational emissions. The remaining emissions will be addressed through offsetting measures as the roadmap progresses.
