Housing & Urban Affairs Ministry will now have two Departments
The Government of India has created two departments in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs: (I) Department of Urban Development (Shahari Vikas Vibhag) and (2) Department of Capital Development (Rajdhani Vikas Vibhag). Satendra Singh has been appointed as Secretary of Urban Development while Ms D Thara will be Secretary of Capital Development under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
