Gujarat CS chairs pre-monsoon review meeting
Gujarat Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Das chaired a high-level review meeting of pre-monsoon held at Gandhinagar. Administrative-system in Gujarat is equipped with the aim of 'zero casualty' before monsoon.
In this meeting with the coordination of State Emergency Operation Center-SEOC presentation on disaster management plan by important departments of the state such as weather, central security forces, urban development, health, road and house, supplies etc...
The Chief Secretary instructed the start of state, district as well as taluka level control rooms with immediate effect before the monsoon arrival.
Special emphasis on the need to quickly complete the remaining road-road and sewer works in urban and rural areas; NDRF's 14 and SDRF's 22 team ready for rescue operations in the state.
