GenZ proves its mettle by dint of social media
Social media played an instrumental role in making the protest of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) a success. GenZ, which is carrying cellphones, seldom watches news channels in the digital age.
The cellphone helped the youths to rally around the protest in spite of adverse weather conditions and police lathicharge. The youths remained standstill at the protest site.
The mainstream media, which is termed as Godi media, failed to poison the minds of youth and deviate from the mission of protest.
Social media, especially Instagram backed up the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)—a non-political movement—to the hilt.
The Government of India, which was labouring under the delusion that the mainstream media would manage the situation, failed to assess the influence of social media that helped mobilize the youths across the countries apart from political leaders, celebrities and well-known social workers.
It is the first ‘pressure group’ of youths in the form of a non-political party that compelled the government to bow down before the movement by bringing about administrative changes with the resignation of Higher Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan being held responsible for NEET paper leak.
The revolutionary movement caught fire after the Government kept abdicating all responsibilities and did not react to the paper leak despite the suicides of around 20 youths, due to depression.
This protest has awakened the youths of this country to stand up for their rights and struggle for employment and a better education system.
This movement will reclaim the land of secularism by organizing people of all castes and religions. It will cement the secular fabric of the country.
It is hoped that the youth will keep this revolution alive and fight to lead the nation in the right direction.
