Discussion between Chennai Port Authority, CWC held
A productive discussion was held between Chennai Port Authority and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), led by Sachin S Kurve, Chairperson, ChPA and Santosh Sinha, Managing Director, CWC, with a clear focus on increasing the rail quotient of Chennai Port.
The discussions explored opportunities to expand into new hinterlands such as Pollachi, Hyderabad, Mysore, and other key locations and shift suitable cargo from road to rail, and capture new rail markets.
