Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director/OP&BD, DFCCIL inspected New Makarpura Station and reviewed train operations, safety aspects and the proposed GCT sites for future development.

During the visit, he inaugurated the new weighbridge at New Makarpura for double-stack container operations, further strengthening the station’s freight handling infrastructure.

The first double-stack container train from CONCOR’s CGMV GCT Siding to JNPT departed today, marking an important step towards enabling efficient double-stack freight movement on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
