Coal India Limited organised a workshop on "Energy Transition Technologies" at our corporate office in Kolkata.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, B Sairam underscored that the energy transition is not about replacing coal, but about building a resilient and sustainable energy future through a balanced mix of coal, renewable energy, and emerging technologies. He emphasized that such an integrated approach is essential for supporting India's economic growth, ensuring energy security, and achieving its net-zero ambitions.

Director (Business Development) Asheesh Kumar, stressed on  the importance of proactively embracing innovation, diversifying into emerging energy sectors, and harnessing advanced technologies to drive sustainable growth and strengthen Coal India's position in the evolving energy landscape.

The workshop aligns with our vision of playing a pivotal role in India's energy sector in the years ahead while contributing to the nation's growth and energy security.

During the workshop, experts from various fields highlighted global developments in the energy sector and emphasised the need to explore sustainable and clean energy technologies as part of the ongoing energy transition.
