Harish Duhan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, SECL, today conducted a comprehensive review of mining operations, production preparedness and monsoon management in Kusmunda Area.

During the visit, Kunal Dudawat, Collector, Korba, and Devendra Patel, Additional District Magistrate, Korba, joined the CMD for a review of land acquisition and Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) matters.

A review meeting was held with the Area General Managers of Kusmunda, Gevra and Dipka Mega Projects to assess the progress of land acquisition and R&R activities. The delegation also visited the Khamaria R&R Site and the 14 No. Dump, being developed for the rehabilitation of families from Khodri, Pali and Jatraj villages.

Subsequently, the CMD inspected the Nilkanth A & B mining patches and directed officials to expedite coal exposure while maintaining production momentum during the ongoing monsoon season. Reviewing the departmental mining patch, he emphasized that production targets must be achieved without compromising safety standards and instructed officials to ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols.

Later, Harish Duhan reviewed the HEMM mobilization preparations for the KNR–SIML (JV) contract and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely commencement of the newly awarded work.
