Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, P Sivakumar, IFS visited the Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) on June 2, 2026 and interacted with students, scientists & faculty members on recent advancements and future prospects in the silk industry & sericulture sector. During the programme, Sivakumar highlighted emerging developments in sericulture, scientific innovations, sustainable silk production and the growing role of biotechnology & modern technologies in strengthening the Indian silk sector. He also reviewed CSB-funded projects, and held discussions with scientists on collaborative research & future strategies for #sericulture development.
