CBI books Ordnance Factory Service Officer in DA case
 The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) Case on February 26, 2026 against the then Chief General Manager, Ordnance Equipment Factory, Hazratpur, Firozabad (presently posted at Troop Comforts Ltd. Training Academy, Kanpur). The accused is an officer of Indian Ordnance Factory Services (Batch 1998). It was alleged that the accused enriched himself illicitly during the period from 2022 to 2025, and is in possession of pecuniary resources to the tune of Rs. 55,58,471 (73.28%) which is disproportionate to his known sources of income, to which he cannot satisfactorily account for.

After registration of the case, Search warrants were issued by the competent Court and searches were conducted on February 27, 2026 at 05 residential /office premises of the accused located at Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly and Kanpur. Several incriminating documents pertaining to immovable properties, Bank passbooks, Credit Cards, vehicles etc. have been recovered and seized. Details of 3 Properties i.e. residential houses at Agra, Lucknow and Bareilly have been obtained. Flat at Agra was purchased in 2025 and a flat at Lucknow was purchased in 2023. During the search, jewelry worth Rs. 49 lakh and Cash of Rs. 5 lakh were also recovered from the residential premises of the accused at Agra and Lucknow. Documents pertaining to various expenses/investments were also recovered and seized during search operations.
