BPCL was privileged to welcome Rajib Bhattacharjee, MP (Rajya Sabha, Tripura) and Member, Rubber Board of India, as Chief Guest at the MAK Rubber Growers Conference 2026 held in Agartala. The event was also attended by S Kannan, Business Head (Lubes), Dr Debabrata Ray, Director, the Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII), Rubber Board, and Sarvesh Singh Tomar, GM I/C – P&AD (Lubes), who addressed the gathering on the role of innovation-led solutions in supporting India's rubber-growing communities.

Organised by MAK Lubricants in association with the Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII) and the Rubber Board of India, the conference brought together more than 150 smallholder rubber growers from Tripura, India's second-largest rubber-producing state. The initiative focused on raising awareness about the emerging threat of Phytophthora disease and equipping growers with science-backed solutions to protect plantation health and productivity.

The conference highlighted the benefits of MAK Rubber Spray Oil (Eco), a biodegradable formulation designed to support effective disease management while enabling safer spraying practices and leaving no harmful residue behind.
