BCCL CMD interacts with representatives of Indo Danish Tool Room
In a major step towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth, BCCL is strengthening skill development initiatives under the Jharia Master Plan. As part of this initiative, CMD, BCCL Manoj Kumar Agarwal met and interacted with representatives of Indo Danish Tool Room (IDTR), Jamshedpur at Koyla Bhawan Headquarters, Dhanbad.
An MoU was signed between BCCL and IDTR, Jamshedpur (Online Mode) for providing job-oriented technical training to 180 youth from the Jharia Master Plan areas in three trades: Assistant Operator – CNC Turning, Assistant Operator – CNC Milling and Junior Technician – Welding.
The hands-on training is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial requirements, equipping the youth with practical, industry-relevant skills and improving their employment opportunities and self-reliance.
GM (JMP) Rajiv Chopra, along with senior BCCL officials and representatives from IDTR, Jamshedpur, were present on the occasion.
The initiative will help create a stronger link between skill development, employment and sustainable livelihoods for youth from the Jharia Master Plan areas.
