Bansi Lal Saini takes over as CVO, Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd
Bansi Lal Saini has taken over the charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited for a period of three years.
The CVO is entrusted with upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency and accountability within the Bank.
Saini joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1995 and with over 30 years of distinguished service in SBI, he brings extensive experience in banking operations, business leadership, governance, audit and compliance.
Prior to joining J&K Bank, Saini served as General Manager, CAO (Delhi Circle), SBI, where he was responsible for audit and compliance oversight of around 1,700 branches across Delhi, Uttarakhand and parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, strengthening governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance across one of SBI's largest and most strategically important circles. Before this, as General Manager (Network-II), Bhopal, he headed business & operations across 31 districts in Madhya Pradesh, leading and steering the network to emerge as the top-performing network in various business parameters.
Earlier, he served as Deputy General Manager (Business & Operations), Uttarakhand, where SBI was Convenor of the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC), and was instrumental in implementing various government initiatives and aspirational projects. He also served as Deputy General Manager (Business & Operations), Noida. During his career, he also held important assignments in Leh-Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Mumbai and other parts of the country, earning multiple Chairman's Club recognitions for outstanding performance.
Saini's extensive experience in the country's largest bank, particularly his leadership of one of the SBI's most critical audit establishments and business operations in various parts of the country, gives him a unique blend of business acumen, governance expertise and risk management capabilities, making him exceptionally well-equipped to lead the vigilance function at J&K Bank.
