The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) has been conferred the prestigious The Institution of Engineers (India) Industry Excellence Award 2026 – Gold in the category of Engineering Manufacturing and Processing.

The award was presented by General (Retd.) Dr V K Singh, Governor of Mizoram, to Praveen Kumar, CMD, ALIMCO, at a ceremony held on 19 September 2026 at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Kumar, CMD, ALIMCO, said, “This award is a recognition of the collective efforts of the entire ALIMCO team. It motivates us to further strengthen our manufacturing capabilities, adopt new technologies and develop quality assistive solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of Divyangjan and Senior Citizens.”

The award recognises ALIMCO’s continued efforts in engineering excellence, modern manufacturing and indigenous innovation in the field of assistive technology. The recognition comes as ALIMCO continues to strengthen its manufacturing infrastructure and technological capabilities for development of quality assistive devices.

Instituted by The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2008, the IEI Industry Excellence Awards recognise organisations for their innovation, excellence in engineering operations and contribution towards strengthening competitiveness in their respective industries. The Gold recognition for ALIMCO in the Engineering Manufacturing and Processing category therefore marks a significant acknowledgement of its engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

The programme featured panel discussions, an industry–academia interface and addresses by distinguished industry leaders, bringing together experts and professionals for deliberations on innovation, technology and emerging opportunities in the manufacturing sector.

The recognition adds another significant milestone to ALIMCO’s journey towards strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and advancing assistive technology for Divyangjan and Senior Citizens.
