Advisor to Prime Minister reviews Coal India
Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to Prime Minister, chaired a review meeting of Coal India Limited at our corporate office in Kolkata.
The meeting focused on Coal India’s production and supply performance, diversification initiatives and other key measures aimed at fulfilling the nation’s energy requirements.
Kapoor particularly reviewed the measures being undertaken to augment coal supplies to thermal power plants, the progress of coal gasification initiatives. Notably, Coal India has produced over 310 million tonnes (MT) of coal and supplied more than 371 MT so far in the current fiscal including 291 MT to the power sector
