Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, CMD, WCL, undertook a comprehensive operational review visit to the Wani North Area today, focusing on production performance, despatch, productivity, operational efficiency, and achievement of targets.

During his visit to Kolar Pimpri OCM, Dr. Pande visited the mining operations and interacted with the workforce. He felicitated the best-performing employees, appreciating their dedication, commitment and valuable contribution to the organisation. He also reviewed production and productivity targets with the team and emphasised the need for sustained performance.

At Ukni OCM, Dr. Pande assessed the mine’s production performance and provided strategic guidance to the Sub-Area Managers and Colliery Managers, stressing the importance of improving operational efficiency and ensuring timely achievement of targets.

A comprehensive area-level performance review was subsequently conducted, covering key production units of Wani North Area, including Ukni OCM, Kolar Pimpri OCM, Junad and Ghonsa OCM. The review focused on production performance, productivity, despatch, operational challenges and measures required to further strengthen the area’s overall performance.

The review was attended by Anil Nair G, TS to CMD; AP Singh, General Manager (Production); V Vasu, General Manager (Excavation); Sujit Kumar Pisharodi, TS to DT; Sanjay M. Mishra, Area General Manager, Wani North Area; and the officers and team members of Wani North Area.
