Uttarakhand Tourism Minister inaugurates Uttarakhand Pavilion at TTF Kolkata
It is noteworthy that the Honorable Minister participated in this event not only as the head of the state's tourism department, but also as a representative and leader of the state's tourism industry and all its stakeholders, and together with the industry, raised the flag of Uttarakhand Tourism high.
The event was attended by 29 tourism industry stakeholders from Uttarakhand—including hoteliers, tour operators, homestay operators, and other service providers. This platform provides these stakeholders with a unique opportunity to establish direct B2B interactions with key travel trade buyers from Eastern India and abroad, potentially boosting tourism trade and investment in the state.
Deputy Director of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council, Prakash Singh Khatri, along with departmental officials and industry representatives were present at the inauguration. Representatives from other partner states, including West Bengal Tourism, were also present on the platform.
In his address on this occasion, Honorable Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj Ji said:
"Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has today emerged as a preferred destination for tourists from India and abroad, offering a holistic experience of adventure, spirituality, and niche tourism. Through events like the Niti Extreme Ultra Run and the Adi Kailash Ultra Marathon, we are putting our border villages on the national map. Initiatives like the new Bed & Breakfast Policy and Tourist Guide Portal are strengthening our tourism industry. Platforms like TTF Kolkata provide us with an excellent opportunity to share this vision with business partners in Eastern India."
It is noteworthy that the three-day TTF Kolkata event, which will run from July 10th to 12th, will feature the Uttarakhand Pavilion showcasing the state's rich tourism potential to tourists, travel trade representatives, and the media.
