THDC India Limited in collaboration with the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Jolly Grant, Dehradun, launched Weekly Medical Camps by Specialist doctors at THDCIL Hospital, Bhagirathipuram, Tehri, on July 14, 2026. The initiative aims to provide regular specialist medical consultation and healthcare services to THDCIL employees, their dependents, and residents of Tehri and adjoining rural areas.

Shri Sipan Kumar Garg, Managing Director, THDCIL stated that THDCIL continues to remain at the forefront of community welfare and inclusive development, alongside its contribution to power generation and strengthening India's energy security. He emphasized that the launch of Weekly Medical Camps by Specialist doctors marks a significant healthcare milestone for Tehri and reflects THDCIL's sustained commitment to improving the quality of life of communities in and around its operational areas.

Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, President, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant, Dehradun; Kumar Sharad, Executive Director (Projects), THDCIL; R R Semwal, CGM (Tehri Complex); Dr A N Tripathi, CGM (HR-Admin,CC) and other senior officers of SRHU, THDCIL were also present during the occasion.

The landmark healthcare initiative has been taken forward through the proactive and persistent efforts of Tarangini Officers' Women Club, THDCIL, Tehri. Under the guidance and support of Mrs Pooja Garg, Chief Patron, Tarangini Officers' Women Club, THDCIL, Tehri focused efforts were made to facilitate quality specialist healthcare services at the local level for THDCIL personnel, their dependents and communities residing in Tehri and nearby rural areas.
