The 'Swachhata Pakhwada' (Cleanliness Fortnight) was formally and enthusiastically launched at the headquarters under the leadership of Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of WCL. WCL Director (Finance & HR) Bikram Ghosh and Director (Technical/Operations) Anandji Prasad were notably present on this occasion. After administering the cleanliness pledge to the employees, Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey energized the gathering with his inspiring address. He stated, "We must establish our office and premises as an ideal space by keeping them clean. Cleanliness is not limited merely to tidiness; it symbolizes the purity of our character, our family values, and our moral responsibility towards our surroundings." Subsequently, the true heroes of society—the sanitation workers—were felicitated, and jute bags were distributed to promote environmental conservation. A selfie point was set up at the venue to foster awareness about cleanliness among employees and to help spread the message of hygiene to the masses. This mega-campaign will be conducted with full dedication from June 16 to June 30, not only at the WCL headquarters but also across all its operational areas. WCL is fully committed to making its entire premises 'single-use plastic-free' and creating a green, clean, and healthy environment. A large number of officers and employees attended the event.
